So, who are we??

If you've made it this far you're probably either interested in transformative teaching strategies ooooor you're feeling a little skeptical about all this and maybe trying to figure out what that even means...

So let's jump in with some introductions!

Hey there! We are Alex and Emily! We are two teachers who believe in the power of transforming classrooms into immersive experiences in small ways.. and also big! We've done it all.. from game-ifying classroom learning to large scale transformations.

Over the years we've seen the benefits of transformative teaching ten-fold. What started with one pirate "arrrrr" party has turned into our full scale teaching methodology. Back then, it all began with simple projects and dressing up... with the hopes it would engage the students and cause long-lasting learning. What we discovered was... it definitely did that.. and more.. for our students!!!

When we began teaching together our creativity and drive for success went up even more. Our classrooms became our canvas and our imagination ran wild with all the activities and experiences we could provide for our sweet kiddos. We had definitely found our teaching soulmate <3 <3 <3

That year we transformed our rooms for Johnny Appleseed Day, Bat Caves, Space & Planets, The First Thanksgiving, Christmas Around the World, Arctic Weather, Peter Pan, Valentines Day, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, Earth Day.. and probably more. We created and implemented hands-on activities for all our themes and for the in-betweens! And so our partnership was born!

If you've read alllll that (gold star!!) we'll lay it out for you. Over the past couple years our lives have been in transition. The changes have been immense-- but our partnership hasn't been one of the changes. Working together we have realized that we're being called into new areas of the education world.. and that's helping teachers with the successes and (let's be honest) overcoming the trials of the field. Way back when we started we were shooting for student success, and while we haven't lost that goal, we've discovered that helping other teachers is our new calling and our new passion.
